What is the difference between the Free plan and the 120-day evaluation?

The Free plan is permanent. It costs nothing, never expires, and there is nothing to cancel — one site, five users, two cameras and five gigabytes of storage. The 120-day evaluation is a separate, time-limited state that grants a fuller plan for a fixed period. They are not the same offer, and starting one does not start the other.

What happens when the 120-day evaluation ends?

If you have converted to a paid plan, nothing changes. If you have not, your organisation moves to the Free plan. Anything above the Free limits is retained and stays readable — creating new items in those areas is blocked until you upgrade or reduce usage. Nothing is deleted automatically.

What happens if I downgrade or cancel a paid plan?

Monthly Flex can be cancelled at any time; annual plans run for 12 months, and Enterprise has a 12-month minimum commitment. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and the organisation then moves to the Free plan rather than losing access. Your subscription history, invoices, audit records and customer data are all preserved. Resources above the Free limits become read-only and creation-blocked; they are not removed.

Do I need a payment method for the Free plan?

No. The Free plan has no billing relationship at all — no card, no invoice, no subscription and no contract. You will not be asked for payment details at any point, and there is no billing portal to manage because there is nothing to manage.

Is my own AI provider account billed by Virtik?

No. When you connect a supported AI provider, that inference runs on your own provider account and is billed directly by that provider under your relationship with them. Virtik does not resell it, does not include it in any plan, and does not deduct it from any Virtik allowance.

Which plans can connect their own AI provider?

All of them, including Free. Connecting a supported AI provider and using ChatVRTK with your own provider account is not a paid upgrade and is not restricted to Enterprise. What differs by plan is AI provider governance — approved model policy, provider allowlists, data classification limits, role restrictions and centralised administration across your organisation.

What does a higher plan give me for AI?

Control, not access. Every plan can connect a provider and use ChatVRTK. Higher plans add organisation-wide governance over how providers are used: which models are approved, which data classifications may be sent, which roles may invoke AI, spend and rate limits, and centralised provider administration. Free can connect a provider but cannot impose organisation-level provider policy.

What tier does the 120-day evaluation actually give me?

Professional product capabilities, for 120 days. The evaluation is a temporary entitlement state rather than a subscription, and it does not grant Enterprise-only governance, security or procurement capabilities unless those are separately entitled. If you purchase a plan during the evaluation, you move to the plan you purchased; if you do not, you move to Free when it ends.

What is the Virtik AI Operations allowance?

It is Virtik-funded compute — orchestration, automation and advanced processing that Virtik itself pays for and hosts. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of it. It is metered separately from any AI provider you connect yourself, and usage of your own provider never consumes it.

How do I upgrade from Free to a paid plan?

From inside the product, in Subscription and Billing. Essential and Professional complete online; Enterprise and the public-sector plans go through a sales, eligibility or procurement path. Your existing sites, users and data carry over — an upgrade raises limits, it does not start a new workspace.
