Reach exactly the people the situation requires, selected from the map you are already looking at.
Directed messaging, broadcasts and voice for teams, groups and map-selected personnel.
Recipients
Directed message, group thread, broadcast or voice — addressed from the same selection the operator made on the map.
The problem
What goes wrong without it
Reaching the right responder means knowing who is nearest and already assigned — information that usually lives outside the channel being used to reach them. So operators broadcast to everyone, or call one person and hope.
Communication takes its recipients from the operational picture. Select personnel on the map, or address a team, a shift or an incident's assignees, and message, broadcast or talk to exactly that set.
Capabilities
What Communication does
Described from the current product build. Availability can depend on your deployment and plan.
- Directed messages, ad-hoc groups, broadcast and voice
- Recipients selected directly from the operational map
- Delivery and acknowledgement tracked per recipient
- Message history attached to the incident it belongs to
- Mail and external notification transport alongside internal comms
Operational workflow
How it is used
These are ordered stages of real use, not a feature list rearranged.
- 01Select
Choose recipients from the map, a team, a shift or an incident.
- 02Compose
Message, broadcast or open voice to that exact set.
- 03Confirm
Delivery and acknowledgement are tracked per person.
- 04Attach
The exchange stays with the incident record.
Operating it
Integration, security and deployment
Integrations
- SMS and voice transport
- Email providers for external correspondence
- Push notification to mobile devices
Security & permissions
Broadcast is a privileged action — reaching an entire estate is authorised separately from messaging a team. Recipient selection cannot exceed what the sender is entitled to see, so the map cannot be used to enumerate personnel a user has no access to.
Security modelDeployment
- External transport requires a provider to be configured per organisation
- Voice requires a media path between participants
- Acknowledgement tracking requires recipients on a Virtik surface
